ABOUT US

About Us

Within Cute Companions we cover the required Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.

The Early Year's Foundation Stage is a central part of the 10 year childcare strategy.

We meet the requirements of this curriculum by:

Ensuring a consistent approach to care and learning from birth to when they move onto school
Having at all times a play based curriculum
Helping the children learn how to stay safe
Providing all children with healthy choices throughout their time with us
Creating opportunities for all children to achieve and enjoy what they do
Encouraging each individual child to make a positive contribution to the nursery

EYFS

The 4 areas of EYFS are the principles of what we do in the nursery

We work with all children to help them become resilient, capable, confident and self assured. We provide loving and secure relationships with the children and parents.

The environment we provide is designed to support and extend all children's development through play. We understand that all areas of learning and development are equally important and interconnected.

The 4 areas are titled:

A Unique Child

Positive Relationships

Staffing

Our setting is owned and managed by Catherine Gordon who is a qualified early years teacher, holding a degree in early years education, 95% of the rest of our early years practitioners are fully qualified to level 3 or above with the other 5% qualified to level 2 and currently training to level 3. A large number of our practitioners are parents and a couple even grandparents so they can fully appreciate your concerns as a parent when leaving your child. Other qualifications held by the practitioners are paediatric first aid, safeguarding, health and safety and food hygiene certificates.
